The collection of Permissions to Applications, Objects, Tabs and Salesforce.
View All–
Permission to view all the data in an object.

Modify All–
Permission to modify all the data in an object.
View All Data–
Permission to view all the data across objects
Modify All Data–
Permission to modify all the data across objects.
Example:
The organization has 10 users and they are assigned to one profile.The 10 users have access permissions corresponding to the profile.
Permission Sets:-
-Additional permissions to Applications,Objects,Tabs and Fields.
Example:
From the 10 users, One user needs access to one more application.Instead of creating one more profile we need to create Permission Sets and assign this Permission Sets to the User.
OWD-Organization Wide Default:-
-It’s only for data access.
-We have to make the data Public/Private.
-Its applicable for the whole organization.
Grant Access Using Hierarchy:-
Giving access of private data to the hierarchy.
Sharing Rules:-
-Rules to define exception on OWD.
It is applicable only if the OWD data is private.
